With the holiday season just around the corner, our 10 December Christmas Fair is set to be the highlight of December! This year we also have something extra special planned – a magical Santa’s Grotto where your kids get to meet Father Christmas, have their photo taken and come away with a gift from the big man himself. But that's not all, as our fair will also feature a Christmas market packed with gifts to take away and plenty of seasonal food and drink. Our Essex Christmas Fair and Santa’s Grotto at Braintree theatre The Institute is set to be fun for all the family. Want to shop for gifts for your loved ones? No problem – there will be plenty of stalls full of beautiful handcrafted seasonal items to buy on the day. Feeling peckish? Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and mulled wine will all be available, along with mince pies, shortbread and candy canes to satisfy every sweet tooth. There’ll even be a dedicated kids’ corner to decorate Christmas decorations while you wait to see Santa in his grotto.
SANTA’S GROTTO

Grotto at Braintree theatre The Institute. Watch your little one’s eyes light up as they
meet Father Christmas himself! Our grotto is filled with enchanting decorations that
create a truly magical experience for kids of all ages. Be sure not to miss the
opportunity to snap a photo with Santa and make their Christmas dream come true.
Each child also comes away with their very own present from Santa Claus, with you
knowing you’re also supporting Gofundme’s Cyprus Stray Dog Rescue 2023.

Price: entry to the Essex Christmas Fair is free. Santa’s Grotto is £8 per child/£10 if
booked with another sibling when booking in advance. On the day Santa’s Grotto is £10 per child/£12 if booked with another sibling. Both cash and cards are accepted on the day. Fifty per cent of profits from Santa’s Grotto go directly to Gofundme’s Cyprus Stray Dog Rescue 2023.
Timing: the event runs from 11am-4pm on 10 December 2023.
Parking: there is limited parking at The Institute, so to avoid disappointment we
recommend you park in the George Yard Multi Storey car park which is around a five
minute walk away.
